Elizabeth van Zyl

Elizabeth Van Zyl has years of experience in Product Development and R&D spanning a range of disciplines from Molecular Biology to Microfluidics. At Osler Diagnostics, she led from the ground up the development of a POC diagnostic device. Initially focused on the microfluidic engineering of a pneumatic “lab-on-a-chip”, Mrs Van Zyl worked closely with the assay development and software teams, expanding leadership to guide successful integration of the technologies towards a complete prototype. Following this, she took the lead in assay development for the characterization of enhanced microbial organisms for an agricultural biotechnology start-up, BioConsortia. As a strategy consultant, she has guided companies on the scientific, technical and clinical landscapes, leading to optimal positioning and a tailored Go-to-Market strategy.  She is passionate about helping business development, understand the market unmet needs and optimize for the path to success. Mrs Van Zyl holds an M.S in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
