Blandine Merino

Blandine Merino is a seasoned business executive with over two decades of experience leading product development, business operations, and strategic initiatives at top-tier companies such as Guardant Health, Freenome, and Agilent. Specializing in next-generation sequencing (NGS), digital pathology, and machine learning-powered cancer detection programs, she has a proven track record of driving innovation and growth.

At Guardant Health (NASDAQ: GH), Mrs. Merino led a cross-functional team to expand the use of their NGS test in cancer drug development clinical trials, partnering with over 50 biopharma companies.

As VP of Business Development at Freenome, she implemented a business strategy to accelerate the development of a multi-analyte platform powered by machine learning, leading to their first cancer early-detection test. She established numerous joint development programs with academic medical centers and biopharma partners, as well as a licensing-in and ex-US expansion program.

At Agilent (NASDAQ: A), as AVP of Product, she led the global NGS-based oncology diagnostics product strategy and development. She then advanced to AVP of Strategy for Companion Diagnostics (CDx), where she developed and executed a novel digital pathology strategy for the group.

As the founder of Bio2Market, a strategy management consulting firm with teams in the US and EU, Blandine and her team have successfully supported leading companies at the intersection of machine learning and life sciences, such as Agilent, Myriad, Siemens, Karius, Grail, Personalis, Spring Discovery, Universal Dx, Ontera, BloodQ, Isabl, Roswell, NIH, Precordior, Genomill, and others.

Earlier in her career, she led Product and Portfolio Management at Kraft Foods for over 10 years, bringing over 200 innovations to market per year.

Mrs. Merino holds an M.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Paris-Saclay and an M.S. in Engineering from ISA Graduate School in Bioengineering.
